Immersion with Chris

For Immersion we looked designing a playground. In the first session we went to the Catilina park to get some ideas. I got quite a lot for an example, the spinning chairs gave me an idea of a hamster ball. In the second session we looked at a good survey. We surveyed people about what kind of playground they wanted. Once we had gathered our data we turned it into a pie chart. It was kind of confusing but all right in the end. For the last session we designed a playground using our data. This was my favourite one out of the three. What we had to do was make our playground creative for an example, under the monkeybars there is a trampoline so if you fall you can bounce back up.

Auckland live school trip

On Tuesday we went to Auckland live for a school trip. The first thing we did was get into groups. My group got to do a small performance on stage. You could be an actor,  a stage manager , lighting and sound person or a props manager. We looked at the performance and the backstage. Then we looked at sound at what you can make with different materials. We then looked at dance and movement. We also looked at new products like the ninebot. My favourite session was the sound.

Helens/Nicoles Immersion.

For Nicole and Helen's Immersion we looked at history. The first thing we did was we got a pile of photos that represented an important event in NZ history. Then we had to research about them and put them in order according to the the event happened. Then we made two piles with the pictures more important and less important to us. We wrote a paragraph about the definition of history and why it is important to us.

Immersion with Max

For Immersion with max we were looking at Tiffany Singh and making a mural for the school. In the mural  there is going to be silhouettes so we decided to make some. I made a silhouette of water and waves. We also did a kahoot  about all the cities I came 5th. Then we picked an art project by Tiffany Singh and find the storyline behind it. I chose her rice and spice project. The story behind it was that the spices were from different parts of the world and different culture. It means that all cultures are accepted and invited. The coloured rice is like a rainbow that represents hope and happieness.

Immersion with Liv

The first thing we did in Liv's Immersion was visit the high school and take photos of the things on the wall with an ipad. In the second session I wasn't here. In the last session we were going to look at photo shop but there was some difficulties so we couldn't. Instead we looked at wordle which didn't work either. So what we did was we had a picture of a road sign and we could turn it in to something creative with colouring pens. My favourite part was taking photos of the high school. The only thing I didn't really enjoy was the sign colouring.

Immersion with Jono

In Immersion with Jono we looked at building a playground on T inkercad . Tinkercad is a website where you can build 3D designs. After we did our designs some of them got printed on the 3D printer. I  enjoyed this Immersion because I got to learn about a website I haven't used before and got to see the 3D printer in action. I liked Jono's Immersion so much that there is nothing that I would change. I will defiantly consider this for my project next term.

Bread making

A couple of weeks ago I made bread with LC3. It was really hard because I was put on the spot with a  recipie  I haven't used before. At one stage in the  recipie  it said to cover your table with flour so your bread dogh   dosen't  stick to the table. At that point it was so messy because the kids got flour everywhere and the worst part was that me and Radha had to clean it up. When the bread was in the oven I was getting worried that it wasn't going to cook in time but it turned out that we slightly burnt the bread.
